In 2017 Chris was sent to Uganda to lead a team of interns that help serve and work with children all over the world. This is when he met Imelda who was a member of the church he served with. Chris always had a heart for giving back to youth but no idea he would ever have his own ministry. While serving in the local community for 2 years there was a need that was noticed and that was the gap of youth ministry, everyone was doing children ministry and training of leaders and pastors, but the youth was left out. Youth ranging from 12 years to 18 years. So, we decided to start hosting youth at our home just to fellowship and hangout not knowing it would ever turn into what it is today. In 2019 we launched 5 17 Ministry with the purpose to provide a Christlike environment to disciple youth in Uganda. To date we have grown into a full-blown ministry still providing a Christlike environment, still discipling, still giving back and still transforming lives.
